BEYOND THE BANNER
YOUTH INITIATIVE
The Beyond The Banner Youth Initiative is a program focused on giving kids that live in the Des Moines metro area the opportunity to show cattle. If you are a parent in the Des Moines area that grew up on a farm showing livestock wishing their child could have the same experience as you did or a parent just looking for that extra-curricular activity that can help your child thrive, this program may be for you!
Empowering Youth Developement

Beyond The Banner Fund Mission
Invest in your child's future with Gold Standard Cattle Company. Our unique Beyond The Banner Program helps parents save for their kid's education or entrepreneurial dreams while providing an avenue to help them build their life skills to achieve their life aspirations.

How it works:

When signing your child up for the Beyond The Banner Program your child becomes member of the Gold Standard Cattle Club. Club members own the show rights to a heifer for the upcoming show season that starts in October and runs through August of the following year. The goal of this program is to give kids an opportunity to show cattle, but more importantly for them to learn the life skills necessary to be successful in anything they choose to pursue in life.

What is the Beyond The Banner Fund?
This is how we want to give back to the future of agriculture. The Beyond The Banner Fund is a college fund.
How is it funded?
Step 1: Your kid shows a heifer.
Step 2: We sell that heifer as a bred heifer after the show season.
Step 3: We put a percentage of the net sale value of the bred heifer into a college fund. This will be no less than $500 but our expectations are higher than that.
