Gold Standard Cattle Company is owned and operated by Justin and Amber DeBower in Winterset, Iowa - just 30 minutes South of Des Moines. We understand people expect a high standard from their cattle purchases, and as Gold Standard Cattle Company we strive to provide nothing less than the "Gold Standard".

Justin and Amber both grew up in the livestock industry and were privileged to exhibit animals that were the product of years of their families' investments to breed up their herds. It is not lost on us the considerable time and money it takes to compete at high levels, and as part of the "Beyond the Banner" initiative we hope to give back to the cattle industry by offering kids who are new to the ring, and willing to put in the work, a unique opportunity to exhibit high quality heifers at a fraction of the cost. Providing opportunities for kids and young adults to develop skills that will enable their success in future life endeavors is at the core of our purpose.

We also strive to produce high quality cattle within the Charolais, Maine-Anjou and Simmental breeds which bring both phenotypic and genotypic qualities that will benefit cattle operations across North America. We offer these genetic opportunities in the form of show calves, bred heifers, bulls and embryos. As we work to produce high quality cattle, we also keep our values at the forefront of everything we do. We strive to do business with the utmost integrity, compete at an elite level and encourage our customers to do the same.
